Coffee diet: Principles, Benefits and disadvantages
Coffee diet – a simple, but not such a safe way to lose weight quickly. In many diets, coffee is excluded from the diet. And on the contrary, this food system assumes that you will drink a strong drink every day.
You can sit on a diet for 3-4 days, no more. But there are other variations of the coffee diet, which will be described below. They are more durable. If you adhere to the principles of nutrition described below, in 3-4 days you will lose 4 kg of excess weight. But this figure may vary depending on your initial weight and health condition. After all, each body can react differently to food restrictions.
Principles of coffee diet
Every day you need to include in the diet two products: natural freshly brewed coffee and dark chocolate. A day of chocolate should be 150 grams. Other drinks and dishes cannot be consumed. Coffee is drunk, of course, without sugar. After all, as we know, it is sugar (glucose) that is most reflected in our weight, adding extra pounds. If you want to drink, you can drink a small amount of mineral water. Need to give preference to water without gas. Those who do not like mineral water can drink filtered drinking water.
Coffee should be drunk every 2 hours. The last cup should be drunk at 19:00 and not later, otherwise you will have problems with sleep. A lack of sleep, as we know, significantly affects the strength of the will, the work of the organs and weight gain. The duration of the diet, as already noted, 3-4 days.

The first huge plus of the coffee diet is quick results. It is believed that during these 3-4 days slags and excess fluid will leave the body, so the figure on the scales will be less. Coffee is also a drink that increases your vitality. Fats are burned faster.
The second advantage of the coffee diet is the acceleration of metabolism. Some nutritionists believe that the constant use of an invigorating drink with bitter chocolate speeds up the metabolism, because calories are burned faster. But doctors say that the calorie per day less than 1200 kcal leads to the fact that the body begins to maintain fat, because weight loss is inhibited.

Of course, you must brush your teeth in the morning and in the evening before bedtime.
The fourth drawback of the coffee diet, judging by the reviews, is a quick return to the usual weight after they switch to the usual diet. After all, during the coffee diet, you lose a lot of water, because volumes can go away, and the figure on the scales will be less. But as soon as you start to drink a normal amount of water per day, weight gain is guaranteed. Moreover, the body after a half-starved state will actively “save” weight in the form of excess fat for further “dark days”. So, you risk getting better even more after a strict coffee diet. However, the delayed effect of any mono-diet will be the same.

At dinner, cook 200-250 grams of beef, you can drink a glass of kefir (0% or 2.5% fat). Between meals, drink coffee 3-5 times.
The third day. Breakfast stably starts with black coffee. For lunch, they eat 1 boiled egg (or fried without oil in a non-stick frying pan) and a salad of boiled carrots (you can add 1 tsp of olive or sunflower oil). For dinner, you can eat 2 apples (can be baked but without sugar) or 1 apple and 1 banana. Coffee throughout the day.
The fourth day Breakfast: black coffee grains. Lunch: 2 apples and parsley root roasted in vegetable oil. For dinner, you can eat 2 boiled eggs, 200 grams of beef stew and a salad of tomato, cucumber
The fifth day. We start the morning not with coffee, but from the salad (rub the carrots and season with a small amount of lemon juice mixed with sunflower oil). Lunch: 400-450 grams of boiled or baked fish, 1 cup of tomato juice (preferably freshly squeezed, but not store). Dinner: fish (200 grams), cabbage and cucumber salad. Black coffee can be drunk in the amount of 3-5 cups per day.
Sixth day We start the morning again with coffee without sugar (you can use a sweetener, for example, stevia). Lunch: boiled chicken and a salad of fresh vegetables of your choice (you can with olive oil). Dinner: 1 boiled egg, 100 grams of boiled lentils and a fresh cucumber without salt. Black coffee can be drunk in the amount of 3-5 cups per day.
Seventh day . Breakfast: black coffee or black tea. For lunch, eat 200 grams of boiled lean meat and 2 apples (one of them can be baked without sugar). Dinner is the same as on the first or second day. Coffee in the amount of 3-5 cups between main meals.
Coffee diet for 7 days
You can stick to this diet for 7-12 days. You will lose about 6-8 kg. It is necessary to reduce the amount of fat in the diet (even vegetable). There is nothing that contains sugar. Also excluded any alcoholic beverages. The menu could be:
Breakfast . One cup of black coffee with low-fat milk (10-20 grams) without sugar. You can add sugar substitutes. An hour after breakfast, you can drink a glass of milk .
Lunch. Boiled meat without fat in the amount of 200-250 grams, 2 slices of whole grain bread, 1 apple. Drink coffee with lemon slice.
Dinner . For dinner, boiled white poultry meat, 2 slices of healthy bread, a banana (or grapefruit if you plan to lose maximum weight) and natural freshly brewed coffee are served. Before bedtime you can drink a glass of low-fat yogurt.
Contraindications to the coffee diet
As we wrote above, you first need to familiarize yourself with the contraindications before starting a diet. The main contraindications are:
- propensity to increase the pressure (every day you have normal pressure, until you start drinking strong coffee or black tea, or until you actively engage in sports)
- persistent increase in blood pressure ( hypertension )
- kidney pathology
- diseases of the gastrointestinal tract ( gastritis, ulcer, increased acidity, pancreatitis)
- diseases of the cardiovascular system
- genetic susceptibility to pathologies of the cardiovascular system
- caffeine intolerance
- sleeplessness , sleep problems
- mental illness
Before you start any diet, you should consult a therapist. If you have any chronic diseases (even in remission), you should take them into account, familiarizing you with contraindications to the coffee diet. When you start to diet, the first day can be unwell. If the same symptoms persist for the second day, return to a normal diet.
